ANDREA FENISE EXPERIENCES ROCK YOUR CROWN 2017
This past Sunday, I attended Rock Your Crown Beauty Brunch and Empowerment Workshop with Kleenex and good vibes in tow. Just like last year, more than 100 women gathered with their crowns shined and placed gracefully on their adorned coifs ready to be empowered, be connected and be beautiful. I, was given the opportunity to experience Rock Your Crown Empowerment Workshop as a blogger again this year and I left apart of a sisterhood led by a graceful and gorgeous spirit, Zaniesha Davis, makeup artist and powerhouse entrepreneur. Rock Your Crown, in it's third year, was created and designed to help embrace their grace and purpose using beauty as it's platform.
Zaniesha welcomed guests with an inspiring, motivating and real approach to empowering women to declare to themselves their worth and the absolute need to operate in purpose. Melody Hubbard-Robinson motivational speaker of Fierce. Fearless. Free had the audience in tears with her speech. See why I had tissue in hand? The women who were a part of the workshop motivated the guests with so much grace but a perfect balance of assertion when it comes to empowering you to move towards the direction you are called upon.
Two of my favorite elements of the Rock Your Crown Empowerment Workshop are the affirmations and the vision boarding activities. I live for watching other women say boldly who they aspire to be, who they want to take control of their lives and live a more fulfilled life.
The panel led by Big Sue with powerhouses of women entrepreneurs was a gem. Pastor Karren Todd, Cynthia Daniels, LaTasha Malone Brown and Melanie Anderson each gave their own custom tailored advice on topics such as balance, personal struggles and even networking.
Cassandra Webster, Transformation Coach, of Pivot On Purpose led another fantastic vision boarding session. She offered a challenge to everyone attending to set out 7 goals for the remainder of 2017 to begin and finish in 2018. I walked around and snapped a couple of candid images of women, cutting and pasting visual images that would one day represent their attained goals.
We were now on to the final presentation of the evening with the hands-on mini makeup lesson teaching how to achieve flawless brows and fabulous lashes. We were asked ahead of time to bring some makeup essentials to use during the presentation like tweezers, concealer, and lashes. Jordana was nice to gift us all with eyebrow pencils, liner, and mascara.
I enjoyed myself as always attending Rock Your Crown Beauty Brunch and Empowerment Workshop. I anticipate even greater things to come for Zaniesha and the Rock Your Crown Team. Thanks for having me Zii.
