REVIEW : VIVAS BEAUTY FACIAL BAR
I am one that normally brags on having pretty decent skin seeing that the forces wouldn't normally be with me. I have eczema and I've suffered with it since I was 6 weeks old. In addition to that, I am not a consistent water drinker, actually a very poor water drinker. Having great skin is something that I do not take for granted at all. Now that I am aging gracefully, I have begun to really consider that things may not continue to work in my favor. Along with trying to drink at least an extra glass of water a day, I have begun to add more skincare products to my beauty routine. I came across a new facial bar, VIVAS FACIAL BAR at Rock Your Crown Beauty and Empowerment Brunch. Here's how I felt about it....
They had me at hello with packaging initially. I don't know what it is but I love black packaging. Normally, brands that have more "natural" ingredients package in granola-esque packaging. You know like brown or cardboard type boxes. After being woohed with packaging the list of ingredients interested me. I loved that the facial bar is enhanced with Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil, Palm Oil and Olive Oil.
What is key for me with skin cleansing is the "after feel". I have pretty normal skin but with eczema, my skin tends to get dry during winter months. Therefore, it's so important that after using the soap my skin doesn't feel "tight" or in other words--- dry. Upon lathering, the soap was very soft and smooth, which I loved.
It did a great job of gently removing makeup. All of my makeup and extra oils were gone after just one application. But, my skin was still very tight. I won't say in particular it was the facial bar. It may just be eczema. I do use another product that doesn't normally cause skin tightness but it's not just the cheapest. VIVAS Facial Bar could definitely replace my current regimen especially for only $1.99. I think I'll just apply a really good moisturizer after.
