How to Style A Kimono While Pregnant
I know, I know, at one point on Instagram I shared that I didn’t want to be that pregnant woman wearing kimonos during my pregnancy. As I searched through Pinterest for maternity style inspiration, kimonos were everywhere. And, now I see why. Kimonos are easily one of the most comfortable choices for maternity clothes. That's why I'm sharing with you one way I styled my kimono gifted by Pink Blush and a couple easy kimono maternity style options.
Now I’m no stranger to kimonos, I’ve worn them here & here. I love wearing kimonos with denim. It is one of my favorite looks. However, the denim look isn’t my go to while pregnant, for the most part. Now that I am in my seventh month and my bump is growing bigger and bigger by the day, comfort is key. I paired my ivory floral chiffon peplum kimono with a flowy knit dress for an easy breezy spring look. Accessories always elevates any look. There were so many gorgeous colors in the kimono so I paired a bold turquoise earring with nude sandals, that just yelled spring glow up.
Need some styling tips? Look for fun prints with extra details like fringe, ruffles, and embroidery. Good thing for us haute mamas, there are so many options. Pink Blush has a vast variety of cute kimonos in several different fabrics, prints, and lengths. The most important maternity style tip that I can give you, is to keep your outfit simple and let the kimono be your statement piece.
