Beauty & The Food : Mexican Beauty Secret Avocado Face Mask
In the last FOOD post of Beauty & The Food, I indulged in my first authentic Mexican Breakfast. I wanted to share with you all a beauty secret I've used quite some time that is beauty secret of Mexican women. It uses of America's favorite fruit import---the avocado. Homemade Avocado Face Masks are the best natural face masks that are known for nourishing and revitalizing the skin. The little bitty fruit is packed with skin friendly minerals such as iron, calcium, potassium, copper, magnesium, etc., vitamins A, E, B and K and unsaturated fats.
Avocado is not only good for your health, but it also soothes dry skin, helps improve elasticity in the skin, and slows down the aging process. Pair it with honey and yogurt to nourish, soften, cleanse and moisturize your dry skin. It's more than easy to do it yourself. Take 1 fully ripe fresh avocado, remove the skin as well as the seed, and mash it up in a bowl until it is creamy. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and stir the mixture until it turns into a paste. Apply to skin and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off the mixture with lukewarm water and pat dry your face with a soft towel.
Have you all ever tried an avocado mask? Did you like it?
