Back to Work with Jasiel in WildBird Co.

Hey Guys!!! As you noticed, I took a tad bit of a break from blogging to get acclimated to being a new mom, again. Being a second time mom and wife, I have the luxury of being the COO (chief operating officer) of the household. So, being completely “OFF” on maternity leave wasn’t possible. I still had business matters, household chores, and errands to take care of while caring for a newborn. I had to figure out a way to take on the day while nurturing the precious little one. I discovered babywearing and WildBird Co and the story is written.

I had the hardest time getting things done with Amira. I wanted to hold her all day but that soon became a problem. Holding her in my arms became her comfort and when it was time to do the dishes or anything for that matter, she screamed bloody murder. 10 years later and the hardest lesson learned, I found out about WildBird’s baby slings. WildBird makes these easy to wear linen ring slings that make it not only easy to get things done but bond with your baby. They call it babywearing— “wonderful way to get to know the baby in your life and for your baby to get to know you!” LOVE IT!

As maternity leave came to an end, I went back to work with a small photoshoot for upcoming content (yass to that!) Of course, I grabbed the WildBird sling on my first day back at work. We’d already tested it out at home doing daily chores but we hadn’t been out in public with it. During the shoot, I was able to really see how practical and functional it was in regards to movement. Neither one of us felt restricted. I was able to move around like normal just an extra 11 pounds of love to carry around.

Want to know what I loved the most about the sling? I nursed while carrying him in tow. Actually, the picture above & below, he’s nursing. AHMAZING!!!! I made sure to order the 104’ sling to allow for extra fabric length to cover the both of us while nursing. It works out for the both of us. Who would have thought you could get so much done with a newborn and not feel like you are neglecting them or not being attentive? Jasiel loves it too. He feels so comforted because he’s laying right next to me listening to my heartbeat.

The Wildbird has been the best baby purchase I’ve made thus far. As a busy wife and mother that is constantly on the go, I feared slowing down tremendously due to having a newborn. The ring sling made it easy for me— I didn’t have to sacrifice anything. I get the best of both worlds.

Have you tried Wild Bird? What about babywearing?
