Tell A Story of Thriving not Just Surviving
Our story is what makes us human. It has been my experience that finding my story and telling it is the key to self discovery and essentially self love. Internally, there has always been a struggle with opening up to the world or even people in close proximity of sharing my story-the good, the bad and even the indifferent. Despite what others tell you, there is a fine and complex art of transparency and storytelling. But, in crafting the way in which I will convey storytelling and studying the "who, what, where, how and why" of my life, I have discovered an overall theme of the story of Andrea Fenise. I adopted one of my favorite quotes that will always be the overarching storyline.
With every chapter that unfolds in my life especially those of hardship and darkness, I remember that despite the feeling of defeat, I must not only survive but thrive. Survive the thought of life ending or forever being changed in the worst way. I have always and will always see the light at the end of the tunnel that is hope and optimism. Because it is the little inkling of hope that I will grow through what I am going through in order to thrive.
I would define thriving as the intentionally and vigorously act of flourishing and succeeding. So, as I think of the story I will both tell and create I keep in mind that my narrative is conceived by that notion of vigorously thriving. My subject is my life, and what I live and see. It is something I then express through fashion and style, writing, and even creative entrepreneurship —all of which capture an honesty and transparency that other women can relate to.
My story will continually be told....
