I don't know about you all but I love the ability to get the most of out clothes that I buy. I am not one to over consume or buy, buy, buy, it's just not my thing. I have a lot of clothes but I have purchased them over long periods of time and wear them quite often. As I was getting dressed this weekend, I pulled out an ombre blouse from Necessary Clothing I purchased during one of my many trips back and forth to NYC in 2011. Of course, being a fashion stylist, I have worn this top many ways in it's 7 year span.
I love loose fitting blouses with very form fitting bottoms. These skinnies from H&M are definitely fitting well lol. I have a petite frame so I have to be very aware that I don't want to look dated with loose tops and appear to look older. Minimal looks like this beckon the bold accessories forward. I am still obsessed with my regal earrings from Style Junkie oh and the shoes were from there when I first opened.
Yesss to putting clothes to work. There is definitely a shift in personal style I feel where fast-fashion and overconsumption are becoming super lame, as it should. Clothes are meant to be worn and worn several times. Personal style and the expression of your style allows you to wear pieces more than once in more than one way. The ombre and denim looked reminded me of my own philosophy that it is okay to buy clothes just buy those that have a meaning and you will get use out of.
