I'm really working hard to not be the cute little Grinch who steals Christmas but as the time comes near it will be hard. My moody introverted ways are already stealing the Christmas shine and I think I need to make some alternative plans to deal. Like, a good ole cocktail to get me through the holiday festivities. Adding a little spice and a shot or two of adult cheer will help me spread joy and a lot of love and happiness. Here are some really cool holiday cocktail recipes I think you'll like and are very easy to slip into your favorite Christmas mug or glass....
ARCHER'S PEPPERMINT PATTY
L I S T E N! I'm here for Archer's Peppermint Patty over on The Drink Blog . It's all of the things we love during the holidays, hot chocolate and peppermint but fancier like what you play pretended you were drinking when you were a child LOL. So there's dark crème de cacao, peppermint schnapps, crème de menthe and hot chocolate. That’s right, two different types of mint! The recipe isn't complicated and it seems that you shouldn't have any problems finding the ingredients.
It's New Orleans answer to the eggnog. Serve it on Christmas Eve to get you through assembling toys and sip a little while laying Santa's cookies and milk spread. Be sure to spread the love to him too as he'll need it. Tuxedo No.2 shares the recipe over on the blog and it seems to be pretty easy. Just Bourbon, a little simple syrup, vanilla, nutmeg and heavy cream.
NORTH POLE COCKTAIL
You may want to send Santa a quick text and be sure he and his helpers will be on schedule due to the North Pole Cocktail. I kid...I kid. This drink looks so festive that I will HAVE to try it. It’s sweet and slightly chocolatey with just a hint of peppermint and ginger. Think gingerbread martini meets chocolate martini…basically it’s Christmas in a cup with a hit of vodka…
WHITE CHRISTMAS MOJITO
Mojito's are my kind of drinks and actually what I really enjoy as of late. The White Christmas Mojito is a festive approach to the traditional approach with a little twist--it has coconut. You'll have to love coconut for this one. It's pretty enough to definitely be worth the try.
Last but not least, the crowd's favorite right now. You see the mule cocktail photographed everywhere right now. I wanted to hop on the bandwagon but see how it can be served during the holidays differently. The festive twist updates the traditional Summer refresher for cooler weather. The Holiday Mule, has sweet-tart cranberry juice, spicy ginger beer, and fragrant rosemary that combines perfectly for a drink that’s both comforting and fun.
