AFLD Client Experience
Time flies so fast when you are having fun. I recently realized that I can celebrate 7 years of being a creative entrepreneur. I began my journey of living my work with my first company Style Junkie which is still in business today. Oh what good time we had with Style Junkie. It was once a brick and mortar and now an online store. Now 7 years later, I am managing three creative fashion brands AFLD, Brunch and Sew and Style Junkie. With each company, they have their own brand identity and I try to keep them fresh and innovative and I like to always be creative in the client experience. Recently, I launched a new client interface for the design company AFLD and would love to share some of the components and concepts with you all.
As a solo creative entrepreneur you wear many hats in your company, customer service representative, accountant, sales and marketing and many many more titles. You sometimes question how effective and productive you are in really getting the work done. If you are like me, I look for resources and books to give me insight on how to better manage ALL of the tasks of the company as well as somehow give my clients an experience. After reading Worth Every Penny and speaking with some of my friends who are entrepreneurs in other industries, I created and implemented a project management system for AFLD that will hopefully give birth to a new experience and also streamline the process of design.
AFLD is a lifestyle brand and with that, it's so important to me to give my clients an experience. Experience AndreaFenise! So when I began developing the concept I asked myself what do I find value in when designing and what part of what I find value in can I share with my clients. I realized the step by step process of making the garments.
On the site, I give my clients 24/7 access to follow along the process of their garment from their PC or phone. I get excited every time I update the client interface because I feel like I'm offering a personal experience that I haven't seen anywhere. The custom industry is intimate and I love that. Here's the process... Each time the client goes to the site they click on the Order Status link which takes them to the Experience AndreaFenise interace.
Each client has a Experience AF page ....
Because it is an intimate experience, each client has their own password enabled page that is given to them during their consultation.
The sharing begins.... I personally sketch each design for the client. One is a fashion sketch and the other a more technical sketch with individual measurements and details like outseam, notions and such. I have a day to day updating process which I share when the fabric is sourced, pattern is made, fabric cut, garment is constructed and any additional concerns or fitting schedules.
So far, I love love love it! I'm so glad I decided to play around with the system to become more effective in managing projects as well as offering more to my clients.
