#SHOWYOURWORK : byAndreaFenise Flower Girl + Keke Palmer
It feels like I haven't blogged in almost a month. Girl! I have been a working little bee around the studio. It's prom and bridal season which means my hands have arthritis and thankfully my clients are prettier than ever before. I have been working on custom pieces for some of my Behind the Veil clients as well as prom and wanted to #showmywork. So here ya go...
Behind the Veil : FLOWER GIRL DRESS FOR J + N WEDDING
As you can see I love working with the two most feminine fabrics for weddings, sequin + tulle. It's the most adorable fabric combination for lovely flower girls. The dresses were so cute because they were not very "kiddie" yet they were still dainty and delicate.
#PROM 2015 : Keke Palmer Inspired Dress
I met with Gabby back in October from Instagram for prom as she wanted to "hold" her spot. Upon her consultation she sent me this drop dead gorgeous gown KeKe Palmer wore to the Emmy's. I instantly said YES...you all know by know making custom pieces for me is like playing a design puzzle. It's all fun and games.
The first thing I had to do was make a grade a pattern from the picture I analyzed. It was pretty easy. Secondly, using your measurements with a little customization make it specifically to fit Gabby and her parent's taste. ( I will close up the V a tad bit). Yes to the parent's that are involved lol.
Of course, this is a fitting. I use my dress form to pin, hold the garment right where I need it. The fitting went so well. My client cried and hugged me and of course it was a chain reaction. I get so overjoyed when my clients love their pieces.
I can't wait to share the professional photos with you of the clients wearing the pieces. I'll talk with you all later. I'm about to take off for the day and rest my fingers.
