Andrea Fenise styles Patricia Nash for Macy's
It has really been a privilege to have a great professional relationship with Macy's. My first event with Macy's was absolutely amazing and now I'm honored to be called and used quite frequently as their stylist for in store events. A few weeks ago, I styled looks for an in store event for Patricia Nash's handbag collection in Atlanta.
Here's both a behind the scenes look into styling for in store events as well as looks for the amazing Patricia Nash's handbag collection.
FRIDAY 12 NOON | PULLS + MODEL FITTINGS
I always have a two day working schedule with Macy's for a couple of reasons. Preparation is essential when styling an event with a company like Macy's. You have to work out logisitics that most people wouldn't pay attention to. As a stylist, you have several models to fit, brand logistics and details, walk throughs and plenty more.
After a successful 5 hour work day and meeting some really cool and pretty models it was a wrap for day one.
SATURDAY | EVENT BEGINS
Saturday is the day.. the event begins with a call time of 9 am. I pretty much have a system which consists of sending models to makeup at the counters, last minute pulls, and getting the models ready.
We have a little fun backstage before the show with selfies and taping shoes lol. I make sure all of the looks and products are pulled prior to show time like an OCD monster lol.
SHOWTIME | EVENT STARTS
Special thanks to the Macy's staff Saisha & Christina for collaborating with AFLD. They are the best! It was a pleasure meeting Patricia Nash and being able to tell a beautiful story through her handbags. The handbags are made with great attention to detail and craftmanship.
